Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Maintenance Engineer - Mechanical to oversee planning governance, turnaround readiness, performance management, and minor project delivery within EcoCeres's Mechanical & Facility team. This role is critical in ensuring safe, efficient, and repeatable execution of mechanical maintenance activities across the site.
Key Responsibilities
You will lead the development of high-quality workpacks and job plans, enforce planning standards, and drive schedule compliance. As the focal point for turnaround/shutdown readiness, you will manage scope registers, gatekeeping processes, and constraint resolution to ensure smooth execution. In addition, you will deliver small-scale engineering projects, managing scope, cost, schedule, and stakeholder engagement from concept through to handover.
Performance & Governance
The role requires strong oversight of mechanical planning standards, backlog governance, and KPI reporting. You will lead routine reviews with managers and superintendents, ensuring prioritization, backlog health, and continuous improvement. Quality close-out of work orders and documentation will be a key part of building organizational learning and reliability.
Collaboration & Interfaces
You will work closely with Mechanical Superintendents, Integrated Schedule Planners, Asset Integrity, Warehouse, Production, and HSSE teams to align planning with execution realities. Effective coordination across these functions will ensure readiness, compliance, and safe delivery of mechanical work.
Job Requirements
Candidates should hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent) and have 8–12 years of industrial maintenance experience, including 3–5 years in planning governance and workpack development. Exposure to TAR/shutdown cycles, CMMS/EAM systems, and contractor scope planning is highly desirable. Strong organizational, coordination, and reporting skills are essential to succeed in this role.
