Job Purpose:
Amidst rapid commercial expansion, EcoCeres is strengthening its capabilities in feedstock and operational control. In this pivotal role, you will serve as a strategic advisor—delivering critical insights to guide decision-making and business direction. By analyzing the full cost structure across origination and the supply chain, you will ensure that raw material financial management is tightly aligned with corporate strategy, driving cost optimization, risk mitigation, and operational excellence.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
Operational Cost Control & Financial Oversight
- Build full cost transparency based on in-depth understanding of feedstock-related operations throughout origination and the entire supply chain, including logistics, storage, custom & taxation, payment & pre-treatment, etc.
- Develop and monitor budgets, forecasts, financial models and KPIs for feedstock operations
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and support initiatives to improve margin performance
Strategic Business Insights
- Provide actionable insights to review sourcing strategies, supplier negotiations, and investment decisions
- Support leadership in aligning feedstock financials with overall business strategy.
- Play a pivotal role in end-to-end optimization from feedstock, production and product to improve company overall profitability and sustainability
Risk Assessment & Mitigation
- Assess financial risks related to market volatility, supply disruptions, and regulatory changes.
Reporting & Performance Analysis
- Prepare regular reports and dashboards for senior management, highlighting key trends, cost control and performance matrix
- Conduct variance analysis and root cause investigations, provide recommendations on action plans
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Minimum 12 years of experience in total, with proven track record as business controller from relevant industries, including energy, natural resources, chemicals, commodities, etc.
- Thorough understanding of cost principles, especially in feedstock business operation or commodity-based environments
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in financial modeling and ERP systems
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management abilities
- Collaborative spirit with a hands-on and proactive approach and willingness to go extra miles
- Fluent in English and Chinese; Ability to speak both Mandarin and Cantonese is a plus
