Responsibilities:
- To manage and oversee operation of Malaysia Johor facility on Production, Maintenance, HSSE, Processing Engineering and also corporate function such as Finance, HR and administration
- To act as representative of the company to deal with government officials, bureau and authority on local policy, requirement and application
- To co-ordinate and setup working mechanism with function including Feedstock Supply, Sales Operations and Supply chain to streamline and optimize the business processes
- To drive and perform cost optimization for production, utilities, manpower and finance charges
- Lead the strategic planning and execution of operations from incoming materials, production and products outbound along the valve chain, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
- Develop and implement comprehensive production strategies to optimize efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness while meeting regulatory requirements, industry standards and group safety target.
- Oversee the testing, commissioning, and start-up of new facilities, coordinating with engineering teams to ensure seamless integration of equipment and systems.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational excellence, including the development and implementation of best practices, processes, and standards.
- Manage cross-functional teams, adopt group culture and value and streamline operations, improve productivity, and achieve business targets.
- Establish strong relationships with key stakeholders, including government authorities, industry associations, and community partners, to ensure compliance and secure necessary support.
- Champion health, safety, and environmental initiatives, ensuring adherence to local and international regulations and promoting a culture of safety throughout the organization.
Requirements:
- Preferably in the chemical or oil and gas industry. Experience in managing medium to large-scale operations (300 to 500)
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and coach team members to achieve results, and building a high-performance culture.
- Strategic mindset and analytical thinking to develop and execute operational strategies aligned with business objectives and group target
- Understanding of Asia-Pacific plant operation standard and cultural dynamics, with experience in managing diverse teams and operations in the region.
- Merit in experience of planning or construction of chemical facilities or refineries
- Familiarity with continuous process flow, particularly in mid-high pressure hydrotreating process is merit, and a strong focus on operational efficiency and optimization.
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering, advanced degree preferred.
